There are chart runs, and then there is whatever Malie Donn is doing right now.
On this morning’s Apple Music Jamaica chart (November 3, 2026), the Van Cleef trilogy sits at numbers 1, 2 and 4: “Van Cleef Pt 3” at No. 1, “Vancleef Pt 2” at No. 2, and the original “Van Cleef” at No. 4 — with “Cups Up” further down at No. 14 for good measure. Only DJ Mac, Skippa and CrashDummy’s “Money Walk,” up to No. 3, breaks the sweep.
The chart run lands on top of album news: Malie Donn’s debut album The Golden Child has now passed 11.1 million streams, a number most dancehall albums never approach and his reached while three singles from the same run are still sitting on top of the chart at once.
It raises the only question worth debating this week, and it is the subject of this week’s 254 debate: does anybody take the crown from Malie Donn before the year turns — or does Shenseea’s Catalyst, landing Friday with a Vybz Kartel feature, change the conversation in one weekend?
