Vybz Kartel has set his next date. The Worl’ Boss’s new album “The Sun” arrives Friday, December 18, 2026 — a full collaboration with producer Chambah Music, with the preorder already open.
Kartel laid out the concept himself in his announcement: a “solar return” — a trip back to the origins of Vybz Kartel. Speaking to Zip 103 FM, he described The Sun as a deluxe edition of God & Time, his June 2026 album, and confirmed that Chris Brown will feature on it, with more Afrobeats collaborations still to be named.
That makes The Sun Kartel’s second album of 2026, closing a year in which he has stayed at the center of dancehall’s conversation from every direction at once — his own projects, and guest spots like the closer on Shenseea’s Catalyst EP this Friday.
No tracklist or cover art has been made public yet — when they land, they land here first.
“I have nothing to prove. I do this for the love,” Kartel said in the announcement. December 18 will tell the rest of the story. One word for Kartel’s Sun era — drop it in the comments.
